1. It allows an interests me in engineering. It just makes me think twice, what does this have an impact on lives. Basically, this question would be able to explain all: How on Earth am I able to solve this problem.
2. It allows me to implement current knowledge that I know, and apply it to real life. For example, what is the diode fall, what is DC, what is AC. Luckily I am able to explain these, but the moment this gets applied, it becomes very interesting.
Honestly the project did not teach me much, other than the electronic system and the wiring, and how alternators and diodes work. It was more of the after-sessions that we had with the NTU student leaders that taught me more. I have learnt interesting things like robotics, others, etcetecetc. (electronics and gears, motors) This really interested me in the topic and i might choose electronics and engineering in the future.
Today I learnt about electronics and circuits. I had a meaningful experience and even had a talk with the student. We had to build a structure to enable the bicycle charge a car battery via a alternator During the project I learnt about circuits, how to build them and even about how to improve on the structure. From the talk with the student leader, I learnt more about the circuits and the principles behind it
I took the opportunity in meeting the university students and asked every question I could to be extremely clear about the whole project, even the whole structure of the motors. I learn about the battery, its output, how to charge it, alternators, DC motors, and so much more! This understanding of electronics are very much related to physics (the turning of the motors, the strength, etc of materials, etc.), and chemistry (electrons), and would help a lot if I were to take a similar subject in the future.
1. Honestly speaking without any proper notes or textbooks and just by verbal learning, I can't really remember things at all. However, through participating in this activity, I had learnt all the important things that requires when building a circuit.
2. I think this is by far the most REAL applied learning process ever and it changed my perspective of future education and studies. I had learnt pursuing a career what I really interested in is the most important.

ReplyDeleteIt teaches me about the charging of 12 volt battery and what methods i can use to charge it. It made me think about the pros and cons of each idea.
